What are those extra system fields on Data Cloud DLOs?

-

  • Data Cloud adds fields to a data object to capture data source details.

    • Data Source—A reference ID for the logical name referring to the source of records, also identified as the external source ID. For example, SFMC_1487860 indicates records from Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engagement (SFMC) and the internal Org Id.
    • Data Source Object—A reference ID for the logical name of the object where the record came from, such as the name of a cloud storage file or another connector’s external object. For example, SFMC_1487860_Campaign indicates records from Marketing Cloud Engagement, the internal Org Id, and the object Campaign.
    • Internal Organization—A reference ID to the business unit or other internal organization that owns the data record. For example, data records imported from Marketing Cloud Engagement have the business unit Id of where the data record originated from.
