Limits
Data Cloud Sandbox limits are the same as for regular Salesforce sandboxes, as they are just Salesforce sandbox orgs with Data 360 enabled.
Credit Consumption
Please remember that using Data Cloud in a sandbox impacts the consumption of credits (currently 20% lower than production multipliers as of March 2026, see pricing page).
Automation
While as of April 2026 it’s not possible to take a fully automated approach, Deploying DevOps data kits using CLI get you about 90% of the way there. Here's a recent demo. The important thing is that you can get the everything into version control!
Changesets
There is also some limited support for Deploying Data 360 objects using changesets.
Refreshes
Production org's Data 360 metadata is also copied over (without data), but Data 360 still needs to be activated and any connections (such as S3 buckets) must be reauthenticated.
